Monika Rosborough-Bowman

Monika Rosborough-Bowman was born in Rome, Italy and is currently Music Faculty at Utah Valley University. She is a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square, Cathedral of the Madeleine Players, Utah Lyric Opera, Utah Metropolitan Ballet and the Utah Baroque Ensemble.

Monika has been a member of the Ballet West Orchestra for twenty-five years. As a freelance musician, she has performed with a variety of professional groups including the Utah Symphony, Utah Chamber Artists, Pioneer Theater, Sundance Summer Theater, among others.

She is a regular recording studio artist and has performed and recorded with artists like Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel, Bernadette Peters, and many others. Monika has also recorded numerous CDs for local artists and with the Tabernacle Choir in the Orchestra at Temple Square. She has a Masters degree in Cello Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University.

Monika has performed with different orchestras throughout most of Western Europe, United States, Canada, and most recently the Philippines and Perú. She has also performed cello recitals throughout Utah, Switzerland and in her native Italy. Previously, she has served on the music faculties of Brigham Young University-Provo and BYU-Idaho and has coached and directed many youth music camps and festivals.

Monika enjoys performing and recording music with her husband and four children, who are also professional musicians
